RMSB of the Republic of Bashkortostan

Regional Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Bashkortostan was founded after decision of the I Congress of Muslims in the region on 18 June 2003, which was held at the conference hall of the mosque complex «Lala-Tulpan». Forum brought together 120 delegates-priests (Imam-Khatibs and Imam-mukhtasibs) from different parts of the country. CMSB of Russia since its establishment in 1798, is always located in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan. In addition to its core functions – the centralized management of Russian Islam, it is, in particular, coordinated the Muslim congregations in Bashkortostan - the region of its historical dislocation. At the end of the XX century, when the country's political system has changed, and the financial and economic relations have become one of the main components of everyday life, there was a need to create an independent structure, which would place itself at the head of local Mahallas. In this regard, 30 April 2003 the next Plenary Meeting of the CMSB of Russia decided to organize in the Republic of Bashkortostan a Regional Muslim mufti and to appoint Muhammad Hazrat Tadzhuddinov as its head. The delegates approved supported innovations. The congress elected RMSB Bureau and the Audit Commission. Such issuesas costs for the mosques, payment of gas, electricity, land taxes, teaching the basics of ethics and Islamic culture in secondary schools, teaching Muslims the basics of Islam, namaz, Arabic were considered at the meeting. This structure functioned as a unit of the CMSB and supervised more than 550 mosques in the region belonging to the Central Muslim Spiritual Board of Russia. At the III Congress RMSB RB delegates agreed on the legal registration of the organization, what helped to facilitate the solution of the issues of interaction of religious institutions with secular organizations, moreover, it facilitated supervision of mosques, the number of which is growing in the country.

RMSB of the RB works closely with the leadership of the republic, the district administrations, participate in government activities. Particular attention is paid to advanced training of imams, annually held in Chishma All-BashkirMuslim gathering. Bashkortostan is a multiethnic and multi-religious republic. Nevertheless, there is no conflict on this soil in the region. Positive results were achieved not only thanks to the efficient work of government and law enforcement agencies, but also through active social position of the Regional Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Bashkortostanas a part of the CMSB of Russia.
